Chango is seeking an energetic, self-motivated and intelligent senior architect and development manager to join our experienced team. At Chango you will be pushing the limits of bleeding edge cloud technologies. Chango currently collects and processes over 3 billion page views a day and also bids in real time on several billion advertisements per day. You will be involved in all phases of product delivery from idea generation, through to design, architecture, development, and in addition will take on the role of overall project coordination.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Own Product Delivery on-time and on-budget
  • Lead scrums and stand-ups to prioritize dev team output
  • Own product specification and project plan
  • Work with dev team to design, architect and develop features
  • Own QA process and team
  • Work with Operations team to design and tune infrastructure
  • Liaise with partner development teams
Requirements:
  • Previous experience defining and managing dev budgets
  • Minimum 3 years leading agile dev teams
  • Experience delivering high transaction volume web services
  • Prolific dev skills in Java, Ruby skills an asset
  • Demonstrated architecture skill in high transaction volume apps
  • NoSQL database architecture experience and asset

Virtual Desktop Architect

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Desktops-as-a-Service (DaaS) strategies and roadmaps for a clients in multiple industries.
  • Provide demonstrated thought leadership subject matter expertise to guide the client organization to optimal VDI / DaaS solutions.
  • Can work with senior client executives in a consultative manner.
  • Will need to lead the gathering or requirements, architecting solutions, and development and execution of proofs of solution.
  • Establish technical architecture for client’s environment that addresses security, reliability, availability, capacity, latency, and non-functional concerns.
  • Able to assist in re-architecting/remediating client applications so they work with VDI/cloud environments or are able to take become cloud native architectures.
  • Effectively develop and communicate technical solutions to unique client issues.
  • Evaluate and select VDI/DaaS providers and tools.
  • Define and plan integrations between VDI/DaaS providers, tools, and client’s existing infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities for new business and current client expansion.
  • Qualifications:
    • BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
    • Experience architecting and implementing VDI and/or DaaS solutions in large enterprise organizations spanning multiple geographic locations, domains, and environments.
    • Experienced with application virtualization and related tools
    • Hands-on experience with desktop virtualization technologies including: VMWare, Citrix, etc.
    • Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years software engineering and/or solution architect experience in a consultative role in a customer environment with experience at the enterprise level.
    • More than three years experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, ESX and Xen.
    • Full lifecycle experience with at least one VDI and/or DaaS solution in large enterprise environment.
    • Flexible, continuous learner and knowledge sharer, excellent communicator, works well in team environment, appreciates challenge, comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving.
    • Available and willing to do extensive travel. Opportunities available for international travel.
    • This position may be located anywhere in the continental United States and does not require relocation.
